Do You Move Server Racks in Dubai?
Yes. We move individual server racks and complete server rooms. Before moving, we assess rack weight, lift capacity, door widths and how the equipment needs to be handled.
A rack moves in one of two ways:
If the rack is light enough for the lift and the route, it moves in one piece.
If it is too heavy, the servers come out and travel packed separately. The rack is rebuilt at the new site.

Working to a tight budget? Split the move by risk. A few PCs and cables can travel in a small van or with your own team. Servers, racks, NAS units and copiers need a trained crew. Ask us to quote only the items you want us to move.
Moving IT Equipment in Dubai: Permits, Heat and Timing
Dubai adds three things to plan for: building permits, summer heat and truck rules.
Most commercial towers need a move permit from building management. Many also ask you to book the service lift and loading bay, and some take a refundable deposit. Approval can take several working days, so apply as soon as you have a date.
Rules differ between towers in Business Bay, DIFC, Downtown Dubai, JLT and the free zones. Check with your facilities team early.
Plan summer moves for early morning or evening. Each summer, the UAE bans outdoor work in direct sun around midday. In 2026, the midday break ran from 15 June to 15 September, 12:30 pm to 3 pm.
Humidity is the second risk. Cold equipment from an air conditioned room can collect moisture in humid outdoor air. Keep devices bagged during the move. At the new site, let equipment reach room temperature before you switch it on. IBM’s hardware guidance gives the same advice for shipped servers.
Truck rules shape the plan. Since 1 October 2026, RTA and Dubai Police limit trucks on several roads at set hours. Sheikh Zayed Road is one of them. We check the current RTA rules for each route before moving day.
